“Specialised assessment, diagnosis and return-to-work planning for work-related musculoskeletal injuries — so you can recover safely and get back to what you do best.”

Available: Same-week appointments | Urgent new injuries by request

At Joondalup Sports Medicine we believe early, accurate diagnosis and a clear plan are essential for safe and timely return to work.

Our sports-medicine approach applies the same, evidence-based principles we use with athletes — objective assessment, individualised management and regular follow-up — tailored to the specific demands of your job role.

When attending for a workplace injury, you will be assessed by a Sports Doctor who will perform a thorough clinical examination. You will leave with a management plan specific to your injury and job requirements. Where indicated, we’ll arrange radiology (X-ray, MRI, CT, ultrasound), provide Certificates of Capacity the same day, and coordinate with your physiotherapist, employer and insurer. We can also assist with braces, splints and CAM boots when required.

Common conditions we treat include:

· Back and neck injuries

· Shoulder injuries (rotator cuff, impingement)

· Elbow, wrist and hand overuse (RSI, tendinopathy)

· Hip and knee pain (meniscus, patellofemoral, OA flares)

· Foot and ankle injuries (sprains, Achilles, plantar fasciitis)

· Post-operative rehabilitation and delayed recovery

No referral is required to make an appointment for a workplace injury. You can book online, or call our friendly reception team who will be happy to make an appointment for you.

Referrals & Billing (WorkCover WA)

We see WorkCover patients and issue Certificates of Capacity. Invoices can be sent directly to insurers once claim details are provided. Private/non-claim patients are welcome; standard private fees apply. If additional imaging or ultrasound-guided procedures are indicated, we’ll discuss options and costs first.
